Proper care prior & following your procedure is necessary to achieve the optimum results you’ve just invested in.

Pre Care

(24-72 HOURS BEFORE TREATMENT):

FOR ALL TREATMENT TYPES:

  • IMPORTANT!!! Moisturize your treatment area 2-3 times a day and at least 3 days before your session. That will allow for a cleaner canvas and make the session go by much faster.
    • If you are coming back from your 1st session, use the aftercare product (or EVOO, extra virgin olive oil) as instructed 2 times a day to keep the area moisturized.
    • If you have dry/flakey skin, please exfoliate to remove all dandruff in the area 3 days before the procedure up to the day of your appointment.
  • Healing takes about 7-14 days after each session.
    • If you are still flaking A LOT 3 days before your session, please let us know so we can reschedule the appointment.
    • If you’re flaking a little bit 72 hours before your session, please let us know so we can monitor and decide if you can come in or wait a few more days. You will lose your deposit if you come in with unworkable skin.

FOR SCALP TREATMENT:

  • Hair:
    • Wash hair before coming in as you cannot wash head shower immediately after procedure.
    • Do NOT leave product in hair before the procedure (including hair fiber, hair spray, leave in conditioner).
  • Haircut/hairstyle:
    • If you have a haircut you will adopt or continue going forward with after the scalp treatment, please come in with that haircut for best SMP outcome.
    • Make sure to provide at least 48 hours notice if you want to have our on-site stylist to cut your hair (price varies $15 per haircut, excluding when it’s free for your 1st complimentary consultation). Otherwise, make sure you get your haircut on the day of or day before your session and all sessions.
  • *Not following these rules will result in forfeiting your appointment and deposit and/or more.

(48 HOURS BEFORE TREATMENT):

To avoid excessive bleeding, please AVOID:

  • Caffeine (coffee, tea, soda) or Salty Foods for:
    • 24 hours minimum before your procedure no matter what.
    • 48 hours minimum before your procedure if you drink coffee 2x a day every day.
  • Alcohol for 24 hours prior to your procedure.
  • Pain relievers/killers (including Aspirin, Ibuprofen) unless directed by your physician.
  • Niacin, Vitamin D, multivitamins, and fish oil/omegas1 week before procedure, unless directed by your physician.
  • Blood thinners, unless directed by your physician. If you are on blood thinners we require a note from your Doctor allowing you to go off of them for 3 days prior to your procedure and the note must also have the Doctors approval for the procedure (Please make sure you stop taking these 3 full days prior to your appointment)
  • Exercising and/or excessive sweating one day prior to getting tattooed and for at least one week after. Heavy sweating will cause the hair strokes to blur and detail to be lost.
  • Waxing or tinting of the eyebrows 3 days before for eyebrow microblading, not SMP.
  • Tanning or have sunburned face. Tanned skin will exfoliate at a faster rate and will effect the color as well as the delicate healing process.
  • *Not following these rules will result in forfeiting your appointment and deposit and/or more.

(4 DAYS TO 1 MONTH BEFORE APPOINTMENT):

FOR SCALP TREATMENTS:

  • If you dyed your hair or intent to, please advise right away. You’ll need a 3-7 days for dye to settle if you wash everyday. You’ll need 30 days (sometimes 14 days) for skin to completely heal before you can dye your hair.
